Membership Requirements

Eligibility: Any individual meeting all of the following criteria is eligible for membership in IAF:

  • A member is an individual or entity who would like to partake in the social, cultural, and civic issues through and of IAF.
  • Pay respective Membership Dues.
  • Eligibility of 501(C )3 organizations for membership in IAF will be determined by the Board of Trustees on a "case-by-case” basis, at it’s sole discretion.
  • Be a legal resident of Fort Bend County.

Categories of Membership: The following are the categories of membership in IAF:

Charter Membership: Membership was $500 and is not available any more. Closed on December 31st, 2004.

Life: The life membership of an individual or a family is $ 250.00.

General Family: An individual or an organization contributing $ 50.00 per year. A General member may graduate to Life level by contributing the difference in membership dues during the year of membership, the difference in general membership and life membership. Any fee paid for the year for the general membership will be credited towards life membership. Fees paid in preceding years will not be credited. Dues paid in year 2004 will count towards the dues for 2005 as well.

Individual: An individual contributing $25.00 per year. An individual member may graduate to Life level by contributing the difference in membership dues during the year of membership the difference in individual membership and life membership. Any fee paid for individual membership will be credited towards life membership. Fees paid in preceding years will not be credited. Dues paid in year 2004 will count towards the dues for 2005 as well.

Affiliate: Any non-profit organization designated by the Board of Trustees as an Affiliate Member. No dues are required of an Affiliate Member. An affiliate member is a non-voting member. This membership entitles the member officer (either Chairman or President) to a seat on different committees or councils of IAF, at the sole discretion of the Board of Trustees.

Honorary: An individual nominated by the Board or Trustees as an Honorary Member. No dues are required for an Honorary Member. Honorary member is a non-voting member. This membership entitles the member to a seat on different committees or councils of IAF, at the sole discretion of the Board of Trustees.

Senior Citizens: Citizens 65 and older are entitled to free membership as long as they satisfy the requirements of membership. This membership entitles the member to a seat on different committees or councils of IAF, at the sole discretion of the Board of Trustees. Free members are non-voting members.

Children of Existing Members: Children on reaching age 21, or youths below 25, if they wish to become life members can become life members on payment of $250.00, irrespective of the life membership dues at the time of enrollment as life member.
